The Jaguars broke out in 2017. Following years of misery and poor football, the 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars have been a defensive monster that tormented quarterbacks on each and every snap. With among the deepest pass rushes within the NFL, the Jaguars had two games in which they recorded 10 sacks, including per week 1 destruction of Tom Savage as well as the Houston Texans. Led by Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue, the defensive line brought on chaos all year.

Overview in Madden 19

Brandon Linder is appropriate beneath them all at 89 all round (I thought he’d be larger, honestly). Leonard Fournette could be the first huge surprise at 87 general, but he’s significant and rapidly so the raw physical numbers added to his speed bumps him up. Yannick Ngakoue is definitely an 86 all round and Tashaun Gipson is rated the most effective security around the group at 85 overall.

Review

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been the surprise in the NFL last season. Tom Coughlin and Doug Marrone came in and immediately turned the franchise around. Wise no cost agency spending, intelligent drafting and also helped Blake Bortles attain the AFC Championship game...which quite a few assume they could have (and should really have) won. The only question now is if they're able to do it once again. All indicators around the defense point to yes. It's Blake Bortles, period. The offense maximized his talent (and minimized his deficiencies) by simplifying his specifications and applying short, higher percentage play calls to help keep the turnovers at a minimum. If we see the Blake Bortles from 2017, Jacksonville can go as far as they want. In the event the turnovers show back up, they may be fighting an uphill battle.
