5 Colleges With the Most NFL Players

The best college football recruits in the country choose to play ball at a particular school for two reasons: to win national championships and to make it to the NFL. It is really that simple. And while only one team will find itself hoisting the trophy at the end of the season, the same cannot be said for sending players to the next level.

 

According to research done by Business Insider, in this 2015 season, 278 different schools have players currently on NFL rosters. However, when it comes to the bulk of individuals in the National Football League, 23 schools have managed to distinguish themselves from the rest. Here’s a look at the five colleges with the most players in the NFL.

 

5. Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide may no longer posses that same air of invincibility the team once had, but that doesn’t mean this football program isn’t still one of the most elite in the country. Through a bevy of top-notch recruiting classes, Nick Saban not only continues to put a quality product out on the field, but he also continues to send a ton of talent to the next level. 4. LSU

The LSU Tigers haven’t won a national championship since 2007, yet that hasn’t stopped quality recruits from continuing to join the program. That’s what happens when your school has 53 of its former players currently competing on Sundays. Something tells us, when he becomes eligible for the draft, Heisman Trophy front-runner Leonard Fournette will soon be among the players helping this list grow.

 

3. Miami (FL)

Despite a dip in national prominence, when it comes to the world of college football, the University of Miami (FL) still has a rich history of success on its side. Couple that with the Hurricanes’ 3-0 mark to start the 2015 season, as well as 53 alumni suiting up in the National Football League, and you better believe the U will continue to be a destination many of the nation’s top recruits wish to call home.

 

2. USC

The Florida State Seminoles handle their business on the gridiron, win national championships, and send players to the National Football League.
